Sign Graphics Portfolio

Arthur Dong was the sign painter for Cost Plus Imports at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, from 1973-1974. Now known as Cost Plus World Markets, the retailer first started in 1958 as a single location housed in a warehouse and was decidedly eclectic, with the signage reflecting that spirit. The signs pictured below were custom designed and hand-painted by Dong.
